This might be the dreamiest backyard we’ve ever seen. It belongs to Marta Potoczek, the Polish blogger behind the blog Lazy Sunday Cooking. Not only is the garden filled with beautiful blooms and fresh produce, but it also features a couple special structures: a pretty playhouse for girls (or “she-shed” for women) and a “chill out zone.” Get a tour of the inspiring outdoor space below.
Our favorite part of the garden has to be the pretty playhouse.
“I dreamed of such a place as a girl,” Potoczek wrote. “A place I could sit, read, and think of all the things my teenage mind could think of.” When her daughter was younger, Potoczek searched for similar structures to buy with no luck. “We searched and searched only to find same things, that were often wobbly and ugly and cost a fortune.”
So, she built her own, initially intended as a girls’ playhouse. But now, as her daughter has gotten older, it’s become a “woman cave” or “she-shed.”
“I added some Ikea curtains for more privacy and cover this little area with flowers every year,” Potoczek said in an update. “I also added some raised beds with peas and tomatoes which you can nibble on during reading.” How dreamy is that?
“Chill Out Zone”
But the “she-shed” isn’t the only pretty part of the backyard. The family refers to the bower as the “chill out zone.” We can definitely picture “chilling out” here.
